A manatee surfaces at the power plant.
Tampa Electric Co.'s Manatee Viewing Center swarmed with visitors from all across the nation as nearly 50 of the heavyweight marine mammals gathered in the warm waters of the Big Bend Power Station this week.
When the temperature drops, the manatees congregate in the warm waters of the power plant.
The viewing center is at the west end of Big Bend Road in Apollo Beach.
