Ship Offers Accommodations During Super Bowl

TAMPA - A 644-foot ship that is sailing into Tampa for the Super Bowl with nightly accommodations beginning at $1,900 has booked about 10 of about 30 available onboard apartments for the game, a spokeswoman for The World, a private residential community at sea, said this afternoon.

The 12-deck ship accommodates between 150 and 200 residents and guests, those who book for shorter periods of time. It sails to destinations worldwide. For the Super Bowl, it will be docked at the Port of Tampa's Cruise Terminal 6.

Accommodations for the Super Bowl are available between Jan. 30 and Feb. 3, with a three-night minimum stay. The nightly prices beginning at $1,900 for verandah studios, studio and two- and three-bedroom apartments include dining, select beverages and port charges.
