TAMPA - Tampa-based CAE USA, which manufactures aviation simulators and creates modeling technologies, has won $40 million in Army, Navy, Boeing Co. and Lockheed Martin Corp. contracts.
The Navy contract is to design and manufacture an MH-60S helicopter operational flight trainer, and the Boeing contract is for an engineering flight simulator to test mission scenarios for the P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft.
The Lockheed Martin contract is to provide support services for the Air Force's C-130J aircraft maintenance and aircrew training system.
The Army contract is to operate a rapid database production facility in Orlando.
CAE USA has between 25 and 30 job openings, two-thirds of which are in Tampa with the remainder in Orlando, spokesman Chris Stellwag said. Most are for systems and software engineers.
