CRYSTAL RIVER - Citrus County sheriff's deputies seized $500,000 worth of marijuana from a Crystal River grow house Friday night and continue to look for two men who fled the scene.
Investigators went to the house at 9853 W. Woodhaven Lane after receiving a tip about the property.
As they approached, the two men drove away in a 1995 Ford Taurus, license plate number of BFW 4119. The car also has an Atlanta Falcons plate on the front.
Detectives returned later with a search warrant and inside found a sophisticated marijuana growing operation, including a hydroponics system and four air conditioning units. There also were a number of surveillance cameras outside the home.
Thirty plants were seized, each between seven and 10 feet tall. Investigators said each plant would yield about three to four pounds of sellable marijuana
