Rummage Sale Funds Scholarships
The Echebucsassa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will have a rummage sale to benefit the group's high school scholarship fund. The sale will be at the Kumquat Festival in Dade City on Jan. 31 in the parking lot of the American Eagle Antiques on Seventh Street, behind Wachovia Bank. Elks Plan Dinner Events
"Happy Days" are yours Jan. 31 at the Elks Lodge 2731. Advance tickets are $13 and include a roast beef dinner. Other upcoming activities at the lodge include a child's dinner Tuesday and tacos on Wednesday. The dinners are $5 each.
Harmonize With The Zephyr Sound
The Zephyr Sound, a ladies barbershop chorus, is welcoming additional voices. Women who like to sing and who enjoy barbershop harmony are invited to join. The Zephyr Sound meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Mondays at the American Legion Hall, 5340 Eighth St., across from the library. Those attending do not have to be able to read music. 2nd Amendment Supporters Meet
The Second Amendment Club of America will meet Monday at the Royal Super Buffet, at Embassy Crossing, 9550-1 U.S. 19. A social hour will begin at 6 p.m., with the general meeting beginning at 7. Health Screenings Offered
The First Presbyterian Church of Port Richey, 7540 Ridge Road, is sponsoring Life Line Screenings at the church on Thursday. The screenings are to detect potential health problems. One test identifies risk factors for heart disease, liver disease and diabetes. Another test detects risks for stroke and peripheral arterial disease. There is a test to look for abdominal aortic aneurysms and one for osteoporosis. Each test must be scheduled before Thursday. For information or to schedule an appointment, call 1-800-324-1851.
