A fire blamed on overloaded electric circuits did about $150,000 in damage to a sushi restaurant on Dale Mabry Highway this morning.
Tampa police first answered a burglar alarm at the Sushi Bar restaurant about 7:45 this morning and saw smoke coming from the building at 602 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa Fire and Rescue said.
Fire crews found smoke coming from the eves and broke into the building, bringing the fire under control about 8:30 a.m.
Investigators said the business was closed when the fire started and the owner said the restaurant closed at its normal time Saturday night.
The fire started in a wall between the front of the business and kitchen.
