UConn Ends Notre Dame Run

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Jerome Dyson scored 15 points and No. 3 Connecticut held 19th-ranked Notre Dame to a season-low 33 percent shooting in a 69-61 victory Saturday night, ending the nation's longest home winning streak at 45 games.

The Huskies (18-1, 7-1 Big East) also prevented the Fighting Irish (12-6, 3-4) from breaking the Big East record with their 21st straight league win at home.

The Huskies put the game away with a 13-1 run after the Irish closed to 49-47 on a reverse layup by Luke Harangody, who finished with 24 points.

DURHAM, N.C. - Gerald Henderson scored 17 points to help No. 2 Duke (18-1, 5-0 ACC) rout Maryland (13-6, 2-3), a victory that could propel the Blue Devils to No. 1 this week.

Jon Scheyer scored 12 points for Duke, which dominated from the opening tip and led 40-15 at halftime. It was the worst loss for the Terrapins under Coach Gary Williams and was the fourth-largest margin of defeat in school history.

NORMAN, Okla. - Blake Griffin had 20 points and 17 rebounds for his 16th double-double of the season, and No. 6 Oklahoma (19-1, 5-0 Big 12) routed Baylor (15-4, 3-2) for the Sooners' seventh consecutive win.

SEATTLE - Freshman Isaiah Thomas scored 24 points and Justin Dentmon returned from foul trouble to spark the decisive late ran that sent resurgent Washington (15-4, 6-1) to victory against 13th-ranked UCLA (15-4, 5-2) and gave the Pac-10 a new leader.

BATON ROUGE, La. - Derrick Brown scored 22 points to help No. 15 Xavier (17-2) hand LSU (15-4) its first home loss of the season.

INDIANAPOLIS - Former Wharton High standout Shawn Vanzant came off the bench to score a career-high 20 points as the 16th-ranked Bulldogs (18-1, 9-0 Horizon League) routed Wisconsin-Milwaukee (12-8, 7-3).

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Tyreke Evans scored 17 points, including a free throw with one second remaining, to help No. 22 Memphis to victory against in-state rival Tennessee (12-6).

Evans, who scored Memphis' final seven points, made a layup with 2:53 remaining to give the Tigers (16-3) a 53-50 lead.

LOS ANGELES - Matt Bouldin hit five 3-pointers and scored 18 points to lead No. 23 Gonzaga (14-4, 5-0 West Coast Conference) to a rout of Loyola Marymount (1-20, 0-5).

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Demetri McCamey scored 25 points and No. 25 Illinois (17-3, 5-2 Big Ten) used a big second-half run to beat Wisconsin (12-7, 3-4).

MELBOURNE - Derek Helleman scored 25 points as Florida Tech (10-8, 2-5) handed Tampa (9-7, 3-4) its second straight Sunshine State Conference loss.

Rashad Callaway had 24 points and Anthony LaBruno added 17 for the Spartans. After Tampa rallied to take a 56-54 lead with 8:47 to play, a 3-pointer by Edgars Eglitis gave Florida Tech the lead for good.
