TAMPA - A man was drinking a soft drink Sunday afternoon in front of a Walgreens on Busch Boulevard when a 30-year-old unemployed man came after him carrying part of a pool cue and saying racial epithets, Tampa police say.
Police arrested Chris Armitage about 1:35 p.m. Sunday following the incident at 2199 W. Busch Blvd.
Armitage was charged with aggravated assault.
The victim, who was in fear for his life during the attack, had never seen Armitage before, according to an arrest report.
Armitage remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail was set at $2,000.
