The second of two bodies found in the Gulf of Mexico following a Nov. 30 plane crash has been identified as that of a West Palm Beach man, the Citrus County Sheriff's Office said this morning.
The body of Zachary Schlitt, 28, was discovered by recreational boaters Dec. 18 about 34 miles off the coast of Homosassa. Schlitt was identified using DNA from him and his parents.
Schlitt and Darien Peckham, 35, were the only occupants of a small plane that crashed into the Gulf off Citrus County.
Peckham's body was found Dec. 8 and identified Dec. 19.
