Worthy Investment
Thank you for the editorial supporting the Florida Resident Access Grant ("Don't Limit College Access," Our Opinion, Jan. 23). If the FRAG goes away, many of our students simply will not be able to afford to go to college.
We try to run at break even. We are exceptionally frugal. For many students we are not just an affordable option but the most affordable. Still, it still remains a financial struggle for many. Sure, for some it's about not getting a larger loan; but, for a great many, it's about getting to go to college as opposed to having to enter the workforce without many marketable skills. Kudos to the Trib for recognizing this.
Many of our students could not have built the educational foundation upon which they have subsequently built productive lives and successful careers without the help of the FRAG. It really is that important.
