A father who says his daughter was secretly videotaped changing into a swimsuit by former Tampa Preparatory School coach Kim Brabson has sued Brabson and the school.
It was the seventh such lawsuit. The others were consolidated last year.
Neither the parent nor daughter was identified in the lawsuit, which was filed today.
The father said his daughter was in eighth grade in February 2005 when Brabson coaxed her into disrobing and putting on a swimsuit in his private office under the pretext of "sizing" the suits for the swim team.
Authorities later found Brabson had hidden two cameras in his office to record girls changing clothes.
A state appeals court reinstated 19 felony charges against Brabson last month, overturning a November 2007 decision by former Circuit Judge J. Rogers Padgett dismissing them.
The father says in the suit that the former coach and the school invaded his daughter's privacy and intentionally inflicted emotional distress.
He also alleges the school was negligent for not firing Brabson when complaints were first raised in 2003. He was fired in November 2006 when another female student said Brabson had asked her to try on a suit. Brabson was suspended and told to seek counseling. School officials called police, who found a videotape in his office that they said included images of about 50 girls.
