TAMPA - Private pilots will not be getting a sneak peek over the Super Bowl.
Local and federal authorities today announced a strict no-fly zone above and around Raymond James Stadium on Sunday.
The no-fly zone will be enforced beginning at 10 a.m. No planes flying lower than 4,000 feet in an area one mile around the stadium.
Beginning at 4 p.m. _ about two hours before the game _ the no-fly zone will be extended to 30 nautical miles around the stadium.
Federal authorities will be using helicopters and F-15 and F-16 aircraft to enforce the no-fly zone. Pilots who violate the restriction will be escorted out of the area and face fines and the loss of their pilots license.
