Times Publishing Puts Congressional Quarterly On The Market

TAMPA - Times Publishing Co., which publishes the St. Petersburg Times, wants to sell its Congressional Quarterly publication.

The sale is necessary to direct resources toward the company's Florida properties, said Paul Tash, chairman, chief executive officer and editor of the Times and Times Publishing. Tash informed his staff this morning that the political publication is on the market.

Congressional Quarterly, based in Washington, D.C., has 170 reporters, editors and researchers. It was founded in 1945 by former Times publisher Nelson Poynter.
