Mother Accused Of Beating Children With Metal Objects

A mother was arrested Wednesday on charges she has repeatedly beaten her four children with belt buckles, hangars and metal spoons.
Khairool Roman, 54, was charged with four counts of aggravated child abuse. St. Petersburg police said Roman has two sons, ages 14 and 15, and two daughters, ages 12 and 16.
Roman is accused of beating the children three to four times a week and of threatening to use hammers and knives, arrest affidavits say. She has also threatened to kill the children and, in at least one instance, burned one of her daughters by putting a lit match to her chest, the affidavits say.
