TAMPA - The Tampa Bay Rays will launch a marketing campaign for ticket sales next week in hopes of building on their 2008 performance that finished with a World Series appearance.
The Rays have multiple season ticket plans on sale at tampabay.rays.mlb.com and are expected to put single game tickets on sale the last week of February.
The business community will be a focus of the new marketing campaign, Rays president Matt Silverman said.
"Our season ticket sales have been skewed more toward individuals than businesses and more toward individuals than other teams," Silverman said.
That's a dynamic the Rays would like to change to enhance revenue.
In November, the Rays announced small ticket price increases, such as a $1 increase to $10 for upper-deck seats, while offering higher discounts on season tickets.
