When people do something stupid, they are often said to have shot themselves in the foot.
Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies say Joshua Elton Burr is a living example of that old saw.
Last night, Burr, 21, of 11511 Valencia Drive in Seffner, shot himself in the right foot at an apartment complex on Claymore Drive in Tampa, according to a criminal report affidavit.
According to the report:
When deputies arrived on scene, Burr and another man, Terrance Williams, 18, also of Seffner, fled into Apt. 304, where Burr hid the gun, cocaine and marijuana under a bed.
The two were arrested and charged with armed burglary, armed possession of cocaine with intent to sell and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
Burr, who is on probation for a domestic battery charge, is being held at the Falkenburg Road Jail with no bond set. Williams is being held at the Orient Road Jail on $15,500 bond.
The report did not describe the extent of Burr's injuries.
