TAMPA - A flooded access highway to Tampa International Airport has reopened, but flight schedules have returned to near normal operations, with the exceptions of eight departures delayed more than 15 minutes for the remainder of today.
The westbound Stare Road 60 entrance to Tampa International Airport has been re-opened in the last half-hour, airport spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan said.
The closure of the northbound George Bean Parkway, the inbound roadway to Tampa International Airport, had required alternate routes from westbound State Road 60 and northbound Memorial Highway.
Most arrivals are operating on-time, but travelers should contact their airlines, rather than the airport, about flight information.
