HUDSON - Pasco County health officials have confirmed two cases of swine flu at a youth camp.
A staff member and camper at Word of Life Youth Camp got sick last week with the H1N1 virus, said Deanna Krautner, spokeswoman for the county's health department. One case was confirmed Wednesday; the other today.
"It's my understanding that the one camper is doing well and that one staff member has at this point returned to work," she said.
Anyone who was at the camp and is experiencing a cough, fever, fatigue, diarrhea or vomiting should contact a doctor, she said.
The camp is working with health officials to implement the department's recommendations.
"It's our understanding they did go through a disinfection procedure, but we are going to work with them closely," Krautner said.
Pasco has had 10 confirmed cases of swine flu.
Krautner advised people to wash their hands frequently, stay home if sick and avoid contact with people who are coughing or appear ill.
