Radio personality OK after fireworks stunt on Bubba's show

Listeners to Bubba the Love Sponge's morning radio show were left with a cliffhanger about the fate of Tom The Treeman, the show's resident stuntman.

In a 4th of July gag about fireworks, it sounded as if Tom may have been the victim of a stunt that went wrong.

Tom the Treeman was in a NASCAR fireproof suit and helmet when Bubba and crew draped him bandalero-style with 16,000 Black Cat firecrackers.

They threw a Roman candle at him and it lit off the Black Cats, which sounded like chaos on the air.

Bubba then went to a commercial, then decided to end the show there as a cliffhanger, since the show is now on vacation until July 13.

Viewers should know by now that Tom has survived many such stunts. A spokeswoman for the show said no one was harmed during the program.
