Theft of pet store skunk a real stinker

SARASOTA - The theft of a $400 skunk from the Animal Crackers Pet Store has led to criminal charges for two people.
The animal was snatched Wednesday from the store, 6230 N. Lockwood Ridge Road, but was returned unharmed today.
The man who returned the skunk, David J. Ruvolo, 21, was arrested and charged with being an accessory to grand theft, deputies said.
Investigators also have charged Emily J. McCormick, 20, with grand theft.
