Suspicious package found at airport poses no hazard

The Tampa bomb squad is investigating a suspicious package found at Tampa International Airport.

TAMPA - A suspicious bag at Tampa International Airport triggered the city's bomb squad into action this afternoon.

The Tampa police bomb unit arrived earlier today to investigate the suspicious bag near a rental car agency in the "arriving flights" area at the airport.

Investigators have determined the package was not a danger to the public.

Traffic was temporarily diverted from the blue side terminal of the airport which serves airlines including Delta and U.S. Air. Traffic was allowed into the upper levels of the airport parking garage nearby.
