Just in time for the holiday weekend, millions of baby floats are being recalled because the leg straps can tear, dumping a child into the water.
Aqua-Leisure Industries, based in Massachusetts, is recalling the 4 million inflatable baby floats because it has received 31 reports of the seats tearing. No one was injured, according to the company.
A lot of stores carried these floats, including Target, Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Kmart, Walgreens, Ace Hardware and Bed, Bath & Beyond. They were sold from December 2002 through last month and cost $8 to $15.
For details on the recall, go to www.aqua leisure.com/recall.
Anyone with a recalled float should call Aqua-Leisure Industries at 1-866-807-3998 or visit the company's Web site, www.aqua leisure.com, for a full refund.
