The U.S. Coast Guard is still searching the Gulf for a diver who disappeared west of Anna Maria Island.

ST. PETERSBURG - The submerged body of a Tampa man who was diving 18 miles west of Anna Maria Island was found this afternoon by divers, the Coast Guard reported.
Crew members aboard the Malikot told the Coast Guard at 10:28 a.m. Friday that Darren Rordam, 31, had not surfaced from a dive, setting off a Coast Guard sea and air search.
The Coast Guard had searched more than 600 square miles before the search ended.
