WESLEY CHAPEL - Suzanne Beauchaine, owner of Classy Consignment at the Willow Bend Towne Centre in Land O' Lakes, purchased Exchanging Hands Consignment as of Wednesday.
Lorraine Collazo, the 16-year owner of Exchanging Hands Consignment, said she thought it was time to sell the thriving Wesley Chapel business to pursue new adventures.
"I love this business, but I'm ready to have freedom and travel with my husband," Collazo said in a news release. "It's difficult to give up something you have worked at for so long, but I felt Suzanne would be a good fit."
Beauchaine purchased Classy Consignment one year ago from former Lutz Guv'na Brett Montegny.
"I didn't expect to have a second store so quickly, but when the opportunity came up, I couldn't resist expanding in a business that is doing so well and I really love," Beauchaine said. "Consignment has come a long way. This is the ultimate shopping of the present and future. It's both environmentally and economically friendly.
"It's also a lot more fun to shop in a friendly neighborhood store as opposed to a big-box place. We have great conversations here ... it's a place for women to connect and relax while browsing the eclectic selection of children's and women's fashions and accessories."
Exchanging Hands Consignment is in the Village Market shopping center at the corner of State Road 54 and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard. You can call the store at (813) 991-4809 or e-mail Beauchaine at classyconsignment@hotmail.com.
