Weather should generally hold up for holiday weekend

The weather shouldn't rain on your parade – or your fireworks and cookouts – today. News Channel 8's Megan Hatton says there's a 30 percent chance of rain today and tomorrow. More likely, the area will get scattered showers and thunder showers.
Highs should be near 90 during the day and near 80 this evening.
The chance of rain increases on Monday to 40 percent.
