TAMPA - A man previously convicted of second-degree murder and robbery was arrested Monday night on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Hillsborough County deputies arrested Johnny Maurice Levy, 35, of Tampa, at 11:04 p.m. Monday.
He was charged with two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm and two counts of being a felon in possession of ammunition. He also was charged with violating probation for murder and robbery.
Levy had been released from prison March 18. In Duval County in August 2000, he was convicted of second-degree murder and robbery, according to the state Department of Corrections.
Levy remains in Orient Road Jail. He is being held without bail.
