TAMPA - Two female Blake High students have told police that a fellow student sexually assaulted them at the school in May.
An investigation is ongoing.
The accusations involve a 16-year-old boy "intimidating" the victims into performing a sex act, Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said. The boy told police he was not involved.
No charges have been filed.
"We sent evidence to [the Florida Department of Law Enforcement], and we are waiting for that to come back," she said.
One reported incident was at the end of the school's sixth period May 14 and involved a 16-year-old girl, and the other reportedly occurred 3:44 p.m. May 15 and involved a 15-year-old girl.
The girls said the attacks occurred in an enclosed area around a spiral staircase that leads to the balcony level of the school's theater, Davis said.
Hillsborough County School District spokesman Steve Hegarty said the district learned from an alleged victim about a sexual assault on May 15th. The district asked for assistance from the police.
Police are investigating the cases, Hegarty said.
