NEW PORT RICHEY - Letitia Kaylor told deputies Monday she was chasing a rat when she entered her neighbor's garage without permission.
The homeowner spotted Kaylor, 23, in his garage on Bentwood Court in River Ridge about 5 p.m. and shooed her away, deputies said. Shortly after, according to a sheriff's office report, the man noticed a few things missing from his garage refrigerator: beer, chicken, burgers and Gatorade.
Kaylor, of 1100 Bentwood Court, was charged with burglary of an occupied dwelling. She denied stealing the food and beverages.
Kaylor was being held at Land O' Lakes Jail on Tuesday. Bail was set at $10,000.
