Tampa man, 59, charged with sexual battery on teen

TAMPA - A 59-year-old Tampa man sexually battered a mentally disabled teenage boy, Hillsborough County deputies say.

Deputies arrested Byron Baxley at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday. He was charged with one count of sexual battery.

At 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, the teen came to Baxley's home, 3236 Delray Drive, for friendship, an arrest report states. Baxley convinced the teen to commit sexual acts with him, according to the report.

The report does not list the boy's age. It also does not reveal how the teen and Baxley knew each other.

Baxley admitted to the sexual acts, according to the arrest report.
