TAMPA - A gas leak that forced the evacuation of a University of South Florida building has been repaired, officials said.
Police were called about 11:30 a.m. after someone smelled gas in the Natural and Environmental Services building, USF police Lt. Meg Ross said.
The responding officer pulled the fire alarm in order to get students, faculty and staff out of the building. The nearby Chemistry building also was evacuated as a precaution.
