A West Tampa couple welcomed their third daughter into the world Wednesday, but not exactly as planned. The father called 911 about 11 a.m. to say his 24-year-old wife was in labor and was pretty sure she wasn't going to make it to a hospital. Paramedics arrived at their house, turned their living room into a makeshift delivery room and delivered a healthy baby girl at 11:45 a.m., Tampa Fire Rescue said. Paramedics brought the baby and the mom to St. Joseph's Women's Hospital for examinations. The mom was tired but in good spirits. The couple were not identified. Fire rescue personnel involved were Capt. Lonnie Benniefield, Lt. Brian Smithey and firefighters Demetrius Davis, Tony Potoczny and Edwin Colon.
