Zephyrhills police search for bank robber

Police are searching for this man who they say robbed the SunTrust Bank branch at 7344 Gall Blvd. this morning.

ZEPHYRHILLS - The SunTrust Bank branch at 7344 Gall Blvd. was robbed this morning by a man who claimed he had a weapon.

The man walked into the bank about 10:35 a.m. and advised an employee he had a weapon and demanded money.

The man fled after given an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect was described as 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, and weighing 160 to 170 pounds. He was 20 to 30 years old and was wearing a maroon FSU ball cap, sunglasses, white T-shirt and shorts.

After the robbery the suspect got into a smaller gray car that headed north through the parking area toward Pretty Pond Road.
