ST. PETERSBURG - A man who had pulled a black T-shirt over his face and head, covering everything except for his eyes, robbed a St. Petersburg convenience store at gunpoint this evening, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
The robbery occurred at the B and N Food Mart, 4700 28th St. N., at 6:55 p.m., the sheriff's office said.
In addition to the black T-shirt pulled over his head, the suspect was wearing a plain black T-shirt, blue jean shorts, and black tennis shoes.
He entered the store, pointed a revolver at two clerks and demanded they open the cash register and give him money, the sheriff's office said. The clerks complied, and the suspect walked out the door with an undisclosed amount of cash and got into a getaway car driven by another individual.
The getaway car was described as a green 4-door Saturn, and its driver apparently had multiple tattoos on one of his arms, the sheriff's office said.
