I want to publicly thank Walter Cronkite for his service to America. He was a truthful and honest voice in both good times and bad.
Current anchors and personalities on the major networks - are you listening Rush, Bill and Sean?) could certainly learn something about professionalism from Walter Cronkite.
One of my favorite memories of Cronkite was when my daughter, who is now 40, was learning to crawl. When she was crawling around our apartment and heard Cronkite's voice on TV, she would crawl to the TV and then just sit and listen.
I think a lot of us felt that way when we listened to him.
Thanks again, Mr. Cronkite.
