Although the parents of former News Channel 8 anchor Bob Hite were friends of Walter Cronkite and Hite came to know him as well, he is not the late newscaster's godson. Incorrect information, taken from a 2007 News Channel 8 television feature, appeared in a Tribune story Saturday.
The female welder pictured in Sunday's "I Remember It Well" series is not Neva Stanley Todd. The welder's identity is unknown.
