Woman arrested in theft

DADE CITY - She almost made a clean getaway.
But a resident foiled her plans when she spotted 55-year-old Vallarie Delor Thompson, swiping two jugs of laundry detergent from her garage Monday afternoon, according to a police report.
About 3:45 p.m., a resident at 13800 Wilson St. caught Thompson taking the detergent which she dropped in the flower bed and then ran, a report states.
Shortly after, Dade City police officers found Thompson hiding nearby and arrested her.
Thompson of 14307 Delmar St. faces a charge of felony burglary and misdemeanor petit theft.
She is being held at the Land O' Lakes Jail with bail set at $5,000.
