U.S. 19 collision kills man

HOLIDAY - A 42-year-old man was killed Tuesday night when his car was broadsided by a pickup at U.S. 19 and Alternate U.S. 19, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Andrew D. Power of Holiday was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.
the highway patrol said Power was attempting to turn onto U.S. 19 from Alternate U.S. 19 when he ran a red light. His 1993 Nissan was hit on the driver's side by a 2003 Dodge pickup driven by Allen G. MacMeeken of New Port Richey.
MacMeeken and a passenger suffered minor injuries in the wreck, the patrol said.
