Capital abuzz: Much ado about the first lady's 'do

TAMPA - Michelle Obama debuted a short and sassy new hairstyle Tuesday night during a country music performance at the White House. The first lady shortened the sides and the back of her shoulder-length bob, and kept her side-sweeping bangs. "This up-do feels very soft, casual and easy," wrote Mary Tomer, founder of Mrs.-O.org, a blog dedicated to the first lady's outfits. Word from the White House is saying she didn't cut it, she just pinned it up in the back. Still, some women soon will be visiting beauty salons and asking for the latest "Michelle Obama" look.
