St. Pete man wounded in possible drug-related shooting

Police are investigating a possibly drug-related shooting that left a 33-year-old man in the hospital with a gunshot to his upper body.
Police responded to an emergency call about gunshots fired in the 3990 block of Eighth Avenue at about 3 a.m. today, police said. They found Alphonso D. Hardin, 33, of 1367 Prescott Street S. with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital.
There are no suspects but the incident appears to be drug-related, St. Petersburg police said.
