Woman charged with driving into pregnant cousin

TAMPA - A woman ran over her pregnant cousin's foot and bumped her stomach with a Chevy Impala on Saturday, police say.
Katrenda Lakuan Brown, 20, of 12414 15th St. N., was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon Saturday night. She was released from the Orient Road Jail today after posting $7,500 bail.
Brown was driving the Impala when she drove toward her pregnant cousin, Faith Mitchell, 18, police said.
The two had celebrated a baby shower and then had an argument over a stolen compact disc, police said.
"It should be noted the victim is visibly pregnant, and the defendant made no efforts to avoid striking the victim with the vehicle," the police report states.
Mitchell suffered no visible injuries, according to police. She was not transported to a hospital, police said.
