TAMPA - A JetBlue Airways flight carrying 140 passengers and crew members from Fort Lauderdale to New York landed safely about 8:20 p.m. today at Tampa International Airport after the pilot reported "an instrumentation problem."
The pilot thought the problem had taken care of itself but decided to land in Tampa to get the Airbus 320 aircraft checked out, TIA spokeswoman Brenda Geoghagan said. The pilot spent 20 minutes burning fuel before landing.
"I don't know what instruments would have been an issue," Geoghagan said.
Flight 378 was bound for LaGuardia Airport. After landing at TIA, it taxied to Airside A, Geoghagan said.
