TALLAHASSEE - A prosecutor has dropped a felony charge against Florida State receiver Richard Goodman that stemmed from a brawl in the student union last fall.
Goodman had been charged with aggravated battery after another person involved in the fight more than six months later accused him of throwing a chair that seriously injured a female student during the fight.
Assistant State Attorney Jon Fuchs filed a court document today saying witnesses named at least four other people as the chair-thrower but no one else identified Goodman.
He was among five players suspended for a game last season for the fight with members of a fraternity. Goodman was suspended from the team after his May arrest pending resolution of the charge.
