LAKE BUENA VISTA - Walt Disney World is raising the ticket prices for its theme parks.
Disney confirmed today that the base price of a one-day, one-park adult ticket will increase from $75 to $79. The same ticket for a child between the ages of 3 and 9 will go from $63 to $68. Prices for the resort's multiday-ticket packages also will rise. The new prices will go into effect Sunday.
A Disney spokeswoman told the Orlando Sentinel that the tickets represent good value for consumers, even after the increases. Disney last raised its admission prices in August 2008.
