TAMPA - A long-term investigation has led to the arrest of two Hudson residents who police say were dealing steroids.
Crystal Gabold, 29, and Michael Gabold, 35, were arrested at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday at 4340 W. Hillsborough Ave. Several businesses in the plaza share the address.
On June 2, the married couple sold four bottles of steroids to a confidential informant in exchange for $600, police say. On July 2, the Gabolds agreed to deliver 30 bottles of steroids to the informant in exchange for $3,600, an arrest report states.
Each was arrested, and police say they recovered the steroids.
The Gabolds were each charged with two counts of conspiracy to deliver steroids and six counts of delivery of a controlled substance, Hillsborough County jail records show.
The couple let police search their home, at 15234 Banjo Drive, Hudson, and there police found six bottles of steroids and a ledger.
Michael Gabold told police he got the steroids through the mail from an associate in China, Tampa police spokeswoman Andrea Davis said.
The couple remains in Orient Road Jail. Their bail is set at $44,500 each.
Reporter Ray Reyes contributed to this report.
