Man kills estranged wife, himself

TAMPA - An estranged husband shot and killed his wife Sunday, then drove around the corner to a department store parking lot, where he killed himself, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

Investigators did not identify either Sunday because they were still trying to notify family members, sheriff's office spokesman J.D. Calloway said.
Deputies found the woman's body in her apartment at 15023 Arbor Reserve Circle in Carrollwood about 5:30 a.m. Deputies were checking on the woman because relatives were worried about her safety, Calloway said.

They found her husband's vehicle in the Target parking lot at Dale Mabry Highway and Ehrlich Road about 6:30 a.m.

The couple was in the process of divorcing, Calloway said.
