ST. PETERSBURG - A volleyball coach with the city's recreation department was arrested this afternoon, accused of pawning a necklace belonging to one of her players, police said.
Jessica L. Guarino, 20, of 5301 10th Ave. N., was charged with one count of dealing in stolen property, said St. Petersburg police spokesman George Kajtsa. She works at the Gladden Park recreation center.
The necklace belonged to a 15-year-old girl and is worth an estimated $300. It went missing May 20 and Guarino is believed to have later pawned it, Kajtsa said.
