TAMPA - Firefighters say a fire they extinguished this morning at a vacant Sulphur Springs house was intentionally set.
Crews responded to a blaze at 8211 N. 18th St. at 6:30 a.m., according to Tampa Fire Rescue officials.
Firefighters saw smoke coming from the single-story house. They quickly searched the home but found no one inside. It took about 20 minutes to put out the fire.
Investigators say the fire started in one of the bedrooms and caused about $25,000 in damage.
Firefighters are looking for a suspect.
