Published: June 4, 2009

Bishop McLaughlin and Sunlake are the latest Pasco County high schools honored by the Florida High School Athletic Association.

Bishop McLaughlin was named the Class 2A-Section 2 winner of the Fred E. Rozelle Sportsmanship Award. Sunlake was the 4A-2 winner.

It previously was announced that Land O' Lakes was the 5A-2 and overall 5A winner.

The honor, named after Fred E. Rozelle, who was the association's executive secretary and commissioner from 1980-91, was first awarded during the 1990-91 school year. The FHSAA considers the number and type of unsportsmanlike ejections, exceptional sportsmanship reports and who nominates the school.

Section winners receive $500 and a plaque. Overall winners receive $3,000 and a plaque.
