UF linebacker Jones transferring to Tennessee State

GAINESVILLE - A linebacker who played at the University of Florida the past two seasons is transferring to Tennessee State University.

According to The Tennessean newspaper, John Jones wants more playing time.

Jones, of Sarasota, played in 11 games last season and had 18 tackles.

At Tennessee State, the 6-foot-2, 219-pounder will be eligible to play this fall.
