S.R. 52 opens after crash involving tractor-trailer

SAN ANTONIO - State Road 52 is now open following a serious accident this morning, the Pasco County Sheriff's Office reports.

A tractor-trailer and two other vehicles collided at State Road 52 and Old Pasco Road, ejecting one person, according to Pasco Fire Rescue dispatchers. One person was extricated from a vehicle.

Dispatchers said earlier today that one medical helicopter, for a trauma patient, and four rescue units had been called.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.
